Executive & Technical Director: Paul Boudreau - paul@gpgloucester.com
As Executive and Technical Director, Paul is responsible for the overall direction and execution of the Gran Prix of Gloucester. He is the point of contact representing the event in front of USA Cycling, and the UCI (the governing body for international cycling). He is also the City Liaison representing the GP to the City government and citizens, ensuring a strong relationship with Gloucester.

Personal: Paul has been racing cyclocross since 1994 (where his favorite race back then was the Plymouth Cyclocross Stage Race), started the ECV cyclocross practice, is the President of Essex County Velo (ECV) and has been the race director for Gloucester since its inception in 1999. He was the Series Director for the Shimano New England Professional Cyclocross (NEPCX) series, is a member of the Beverly Bike Committee and a USA Cycling Certified International & National Race Director. When not racing, working on or dreaming about cross or sampling the occasional Belgian beer, Paul is a Senior Human Factors Engineer for a multinational computer technology corporation and lives in Beverly, MA with his wife and their two sons.

Operations Director: Chris McKernan - chris@gpgloucester.com

As Operations Director, Chris’ duties are varied. He is a strategic planner working with Paul on the overall production of the event. Chris can best be described as the fire fighter – working on last minute issues before they become problems. With a number of years in professional team management, Chris will also use his industry connections to secure prizes for our non-cash categories, as well as for our volunteer raffle.

Personal: In addition to serving as Vice President of Essex County Velo, Chris acts as Director of the club’s grassroots race program lending his nearly twenty years of experience in cyclocross racing to help new and aspiring riders. An avid mountain biker and road rider, he is also ECV’s Style Consultant, assuring that all in the “Blue & Black” follow the rules of proper kit coordination. When not regulating sock height or issuing fines for dreaded split-kit infractions, Chris teaches middle school students with language-based learning disabilities. Chris lives in Beverly Farms with his beautiful wife, Jen and Cole, their energetic two-year old son.

Volunteer Director:  paul@gpgloucester.com

For some, tracking volunteers can be a little like herding cats. Using a patented spreadsheet technology, we tackle volunteer coordination with gusto!

Personal: This position has not been filled.

Registration & Results Director: Jason Knauff - jason@gpgloucester.com

The Registrar is the rock star of the Gloucester staff. No one else gets flown in across the country on our dime for their services. I’m not kidding. Moving to Chicago doesn’t get in the way of Jason manning the computers and working his spreadsheet magic. Jason massages our registration data to produce accurate start lists for the race officials and works with John Frey our scorer to provide accurate results.

Personal: Born and raised in Baltimore, MD (another hotbed of ‘cross racing), Jason began racing mountain bikes towards the end of high school and soon found his way onto a road bike. After moving to Boston, MA at the end of 2001 Jason switched wholly to racing on the road with ECV while maintaining his “dirty” roots. It was while in Boston Jason witnessed his first true CycloCross event at the 2004 GP of Gloucester and has been helping out with the race ever since.

Production Director: Patrick Cochran - patrick@gpgloucester.com

As Production Director, Patrick's duties focus on making sure that the show aspect of the Gran Prix of Gloucester goes off without a hitch. Club row hospitality, assisting the announcers, prize sorting and running the award ceremonies are among the items in Patrick's court.

Personal: Constantly being called upon to create and edit last minute artwork, Patrick has earned the title of ‘graphic designer’ for both Essex County Velo, the Shimano New England Professional Cyclocross (NEPCX) series and every organization he has any affiliation with. He also organizes and runs a yearly charity ride, the Cafe To Cafe, where the participants can further their addiction to both cycling and coffee in one-fell-swoop.
